Love without Borders

Our 2019 trip to Puerto Rico was a HUGE success!  In all we sponsored 2 herbal medicine clinics, worked with a local herbalist, visited an herb farm, taught over 120 adults about how to make their own medicines, worked with another nonprofit organization, and enjoyed a day at the beach!

In addition to serving the communities of Utuado, PR, our trip was filled with training naturopathic medical students from the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine (now Sonoran University) in Phoenix, AZ and Chinese medicine students from the Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture, in Phoenix, AZ.  Instruction on how to tincture herbal blends, create medicine formulas, and complete thorough intake using an interpreter were among the many different skills taught during this event which set the stage for more student opportunities to be developed in the future.
